It doesn’t matter how MUCH you give!
It’s the participation that counts the most!
The Class of 2005 has been charged to raise a $10,000 class gift to present to the College at the 2010 Spelman College Reunion. In order to meet our goal and win top honors, we are challenging each member of the class to give $60 to Spelman by reunion on May 12th. Whether you are able to give all at once, or just a portion each month, every $1 given will help us reach our goal. If you are not able to contribute all of the $60 alone, then challenge your friends and family members to donate to Spelman College on your behalf.
There are multiple ways you can begin to meet your $60 pledge:
1. Give online. For more information, please visit:

Where will my money go?
”Gifts to the Annual Fund advance the mission of Spelman College and provide a solid foundation for every aspect of the Spelman experience: scholarships, academic programs, campus programs, and student-faculty research opportunities. A contribution in any amount is an investment in Spelman College and women they educate who make the choice to change the world.“
Are you hesitant about giving?
That is completely understandable! Just know that with YOUR gift you are:
· Aiding to increase scholarships made available to students.
· Helping to create more endowed chairs for faculty.
· Helping to put air conditioning and updated technology in the six Spelman
dorms.
· Reducing the number of students that discontinue their studies because of
financial hardship.
· Enhancing students’ educational experiences by increasing the resources
needed by faculty.
· Helping to support additional academic programs and course offerings!
**Remember, your gift IS tax deductible!**
Why is YOUR participation important?
Alumnae participation reflects the number of alumnae that give—not the total amount of the gifts. Alumnae gifts are extremely important to the College. Alumnae support is used in determining national rankings (including the US News and World report) and as a factor in funding consideration from corporations, foundations and government grants. If WE won't give to our own College, then why should someone else?
